There’s no need to be afraid of a chemical peel, the peels available now are gentle yet very effective, and work by taking off the very top, dead layer of your skin using a chemical solution. After a session, you’ll see amazing results; new skin that looks noticeably smoother and more youthful.
Chemical peels encourage natural skin cells to renew, stimulating collagen production and helping treat fine lines and wrinkles.
I carry out two basic types of peel:
Superficial Peel
Mild peels are popular with people who want an effective way to refresh their complexion and brighten the skin on their face, neck or hands. Although the results can be dramatic and immediate, they aren’t permanent; I’ll talk to you about your own skincare needs at our consultation, but I’d expect a mild, superficial peel to need refreshing regularly to maintain the great results.
Medium Peel
In general, if you struggle with a difficult-to-treat skin condition, the deeper chemical peels might suit you better, but when it comes to improving the look and texture of your complexion, a milder exfoliating or resurfacing peel should work wonders!
